Caption: As the heavy fog melted away and the clouds became visible, the white orb of the sun finally broke through the gloom. I love the mystical quality of this photo, and indeed, the elk stands shaman-like in the swirling tableau. My English professor in college said that I was too “flowery” as a writer (she was right), but sometimes I just can’t help myself!
